Tucson Gem Show Review 2015

Every year for the past 60 years, the city of Tucson Arizona welcomes in thousands of people to the largest gemshow in the world. Dealers from across the planet descend on the town, exhibiting at over 20 different locations. More than 4 thousand dealers come selling their precious stones, jewelry, crystals, minerals, fossils and so much more. Looking for a Persian rug, you’ll find it there. How about a Tibetan Buddhist Thanka yes, you can purchase authentic deity paintings at the Gem Show too. It is like strolling through a world market all without ever leaving the country.

I hadn’t been out to the Tucson show in many years and much has changed since I was last there. I set out with a long list of stones I’d hope to find. Much to my delight, I found most everything on my list and so much more.

My very first purchase was a real score. Just minutes into the show I found Clinaclore from Russia. I’d never, ever seen this mineral isolated like this before. Clinachlore a hydrous magnesium iron aluminum silicate is found only in the Lake Baikal region of Siberia. I’ve known about Clinachlore because it is the mineral that makes Seraphinite green. I’ve always loved Seraphinite and of course it was on my list of stones to get more of. Seeing this purest form of Seraphinite was a real gift. I’ve dubbed this stone Green Goddess of the Heart because to me the vibration of this stone is one of an open heart. It is nurturing & loving in its energy. Think Earth Mother and you’ll have a sense of the energy of this new stone.

Here is a list of just some of the other stones I found at the show.

  • Colorful Flourite slabs
  • Polished Scolicite, a stone of peace and comfort
  • Faceted Moldavite necklaces and lots of high vibrational jewelry.
  • Lots of different forms of Amethyst; Elestial Amethyst, Brandenburg
  • Fulgurites–lightning struck sand.  Very powerful for awakening!
  • White Moldavite–Elestial Calcite. Small but oh so powerful without the sharp intensity of Green Moldavite.
  • Shungite, lots of it, in all forms. A must have stone for these time. It helps protect us from the electromagnetic rays
  • Healerite, the lovely yellow green stone for healing on all levels
  • Crimson Amethyst–a synergistic blend of 7 minerals
  • Auralite-23 another stone said to hold 23 different minerals within it
  • Black Jade from Arizona once you hold one of these you won’t be able to put it down.
  • Quartz Crystal points blessed by John of God, the Brazilian Healer

My trip to the Tucson gemshow felt like a trip of a lifetime. It was special in so many ways. I love my work, the connections I make and all the stones & gems I have the privilege of getting to know. I’m feeling so grateful for the opportunity to bring these amazing stone beings into the hands of others.

Want to take a look for yourself at all the new treasures I found in Tucson this year? Make an appointment to come see the stones at The Crystal Cottage on Big Pine Key, FL.
