I am Juanita Melendez. My residence is in the beautiful town of Bayfield, Colorado located in the Four Corners area near Durango. My husband and I love the mountains, rivers, fresh air and most of all the Peacefulness and beauty that surrounds us everyday. A perfect place to get the creative juices flowing.

I was born and raised in San Francisco during the 60’s when beading was the craze. As a teenager I loved to bead. I would bead anything beadable; jeans, skirts, vest, jackets, you name it. I would bead it not only for myself but for my friends as well.

My love for beading has continued to evolve over the last 25 years. My passion at present is making healing jewelry. I love collecting different stones and beads of the highest quality. I then combine stones together – wire wrapping in sterling silver wire – to create one of a kind healing pieces. I have found that each piece calls to their owner. A person will be drawn to a piece for a particular energy they may need at the time.

I love working with the stones and being in their energy field. This is why each piece I create is infused with Love and Joy energy; this is the main ingredient for all forms of healing – desperately needed at this time on Earth.
