In an economy where just a few dollars can make the difference in a purchase, I’m looking into ways to keep the prices of my jewelry affordable. The cost of sterling silver is rising each day. I’ve always used sterling in my jewelry designs, but now I’m faced with the reality that the current silver prices will effect the cost of my jewelry. I have to raise prices as my costs continue rise.

The good news is, I’ am exploring different options in metals. I’ve recently been using more copper in my designs. This lead to a search on the healing benefits of copper. More good news, copper is a very beneficial metal to wear for healing. Copper has long been used for its healing properties.

Historically copper has been used by humans dating back nearly 10,000 years. It was found that copper was even used in Pre-Columbian America in the area of the Middle East. Metal workers crafted bells, ornaments, weapons, beads, earrings and armor. >> Continue reading

What are you doing for Earth day?

In honor of Earth Day, April 22 I am going to celebrate this great planet Earth with a meditation using the gemstone Chrysocolla. Chrysocolla is a beautiful Turquoise blue- green gemstone that reminds us of the earth when viewed from outer space.
It is known as a stone for healing the Earth. Chrysocolla’s vibration is closely attuned to the Earth and can bring us into a empathic connection to Mother Earth.

Focusing attention on our Mother Earth we can send out healing energy for all living beings, for all Earth’s creatures great and small, for the land, for the water for the natural beauty and bounty that the Earth offers each and everyone of us.
While holding a Chryscocolla I will pray for healing and send out thoughts of love and appreciation.

Full Moon- how to cleanse your crystals

Full moon is a great time to energetically clear and cleanse your crystals and gemstones. Clear Quartz crystals amplify whatever energies that surround them. So it is a good idea to periodically clear and cleanse them of any unwanted energy- bad moods, negative thoughts, arguments that kind of unwanted energy. This is especially important to do if you are going to use the crystals for healing.

One of my favorite ways to cleanse my stones is to put them outside under the full moon. The energy of the moon light washes away anything that is no longer needed. I like to leave them out all night and into the next day so they can be charged by the light of the sun. I happen to live in a very safe area where I can do this, but if needed place them by a window where the light of the moon can shine on to them. >> Continue reading
