Moldavite- ” The Stone That Fell From The Sky”

Of all the different gemstones I have worked with over the past 20 years, Moldavite is the one that has shown me the most dramatic responses from those who hold it. I have witness many first time encounters with Moldavite. What I have noticed when someone is new to the energies of Moldavite is a strong reaction to the stone. Sometimes to the point of the person throwing the stone down as if they can no longer be near its vibration. Sometimes the opposite happens and a person can not let go of the stone because it feels so good, so familiar. Rarely is there no response from Moldavite. One of the more common responses from someone who holds Moldavite for the first time is the experience of warmth or heat, usually felt in the hand then felt throughout the body like a wave. I have seen people become lightheaded and even dizzy while holding Moldavite. Some people have to accustom themselves to the energies of Moldavite, gradually wearing the gemstone, to come to fully appreciate its energy. Moldavite is truly a high vibrational stone.

Moldavite is a tektite found in the Czech Republic. Its often called “the stone that fell from the sky”. There are three theories of how it was formed. One theory suggests that Moldavite is made from an earthly rock melted by the heat of a meteorite crash. Another theory suggests that Moldavite is from extraterrestrial origin, like obsidian ejected by a lunar volcano. A third theory suggests that Moldative is a fusion of meteorite material and rock from the earth that was vaporized in tremendous heat from the impact of the meteor. The heat of the explosion resulted in gas being propelled high into the atmosphere. This gas would have cooled and condensed into a liquid glass, resulting in Moldavite. Regardless of which theory is correct, the fact is that Moldavite was created from tremendous power and did fall from the sky. The Chakra Energy System

I attended a workshop on the healing power of flower essences and the chakra energy system this weekend with Rhonda PallasDowney, the author of ” The Healing Power of Flowers”.

Rhonda shared wonderful information on seven different flower essences, their healing qualities and how they relate to balancing the chakra energy system.

I’ve used flower essences over the years and even make my own flower essences using the flowers that grow here in Colorado as well as those in my yard in the Florida Keys. Spending time with the flowers, getting to know their energies and “listening” to them brings me out into nature and strengthens my connection to Mother Earth.

It was fun for me to relate this information on the flower essences to the chakra energy system and extend that information into the world of gemstones. I’ve been teaching classes on the healing power of gemstones and the chakras for many years now and my gemstone jewelry chakra designs incorporates this information. Rhonda gave me information to add flower essences to my gemstone/chakra work. I purchased her “Human Energy System” kit with 7 flower essences to balance the chakras, here are the seven flower essences, gemstones and chakra they correspond with.
