I visited with Robert Simmons author of “The Book Of Stones” in September at Denver Gem Show. He was there with his company Heaven & Earth signing copies of his newest book, “Stones of the New Consciousness: Healing, Awakening & Co-creating with Crystals, Minerals & Gems”

 

Its always an enlightening experience talking with Robert as we share a passion for the Stone Beings. This year he introduced me to several new stones including Rosophia a stone he discovered just last year in New Mexico.  The name comes from the phrase “Rose of Sophia” meaning the “Heart of Wisdom”.  Robert tells the story of how he came to find this stone and the significance it has for him in his new book.

 

I had a very special visit with Robert several years ago. I owned a metaphysical gift store, “The Crystal Loft” in the Florida Keys.  Robert was on tour with his novel “Earthfire”.  He came down to the Keys to give a talk on his book and set up a “Trunk Sale” at our store, selling the high vibrational gemstones and jewelry Heaven & Earth carries.  Many synchronistic events occurred over the course of a few days and I will always remember that weekend as a very magical experience as we connected to the energies of gemstones, people and snakes!

As part of my Crystal Awareness classes I discuss the many ways to energetically cleanse crystals and gemstones. Here are  the methods I use to clear crystals.

 

 

Crystals and gemstones attract, magnify and hold energy.  We want to cleanse them of any unwanted energy. Energetically cleansing crystals removes any negative energy that the stone may have picked up and returns the crystal to its pure state.

 

 

Crystals should be cleansed soon after you get one for the first time and after each time you use the stone for healing, either for yourself or healing for someone else.

Cleansing your stones is a good way to get to know them.

 

 

This is something that you will come to sense.  Sometimes the stones visibly look dark and mucky or they may feel dull, heavy, cloudy.  Take time to observe your stones before and after you have cleansed them, see if you notice a brightness or sparkle once they have been cleansed both visually and energetically. >> Continue reading
