Spirals of Light is a gemstone jewelry company that I started in 1994. We specialize in Chakra jewelry, Yoga jewelry, Healing jewelry and sell high quality Crystals and Gemstones. I also teach classes on how to use crystals and gemstones in everyday life as well as offer consultations and crystal readings. Working with stones has been my passion for the past 20 years. I developed my chakra and yoga jewelry lines as a way to help me maintain my own yoga and meditation practice. I started this blog as a way to continue my exploration into the world of Crystals, Gemstones, Chakras, Yoga, Meditation & Spiritual Awakening. I hope you will join me in this discovery.

Where To Buy Crystals In The Florida Keys
During the winter months from November through April I live in The Florida Keys, on the island of Big Pine Key. I have my very own showroom here, I call it The Crystal Cottage.
The “Cottage” is a space where I can lay out my ever changing collection of Crystals, Gemstones, Minerals, Healing Gemstone Jewelry and other tools for personal growth.
The crystals and stones love to be out in the open air, where they receive plenty of light from the many windows in The Crystal Cottage. When I’m not in Florida the stones are boxed up and travel with me to Metaphysical Expos, Gem shows and Art & Craft shows. Denver Gem Show 2012 Part Two: the unpacking
This year’s Denver Gem Show was another fabulous year, with all of the same dealers and several new ones to explore. I found some great new stones this year, which always makes the show worth going to. I never know just what l’ll find or what will entice me. This year was no exception in fine quality crystals, gemstones, minerals, beads and jewelry. I came home with boxes and boxes of glorious new treasures from Mother Earth.
It takes days and days to unpack all the new stones. This year I set up several tables outdoors on my deck and laid out and unpacked all the goodies. The stones enjoy being outside in the sunlight, and so do I. It’s a slow process, sorting, organizing, pricing and admiring these natural beauties. Denver Gem Show 2012-Part one: the anticipation.
The Denver Gem Show, held every year in mid- September is the 2nd largest Gem Show in the US. Second to the grand daddy of all shows which takes over the city of Tucson AZ. every winter. Denver’s Show features many of the same international gem dealers. The Denver Gem Show is really 5 shows in one, held at several different venues throughout north Denver. Several of the shows are only open to dealers, you must have a re-sale liscense to attend, while others are open to the general public.
I’ve been attending this show for the past 15 years and have watched it grow in size with dealers from around the world and new shows added. I prepare for this show months in advance with much anticipation. I feel just like a little kid waiting for Christmas before the show rolls around. >> Continue reading
Entering A New Consciousness with Crystals & Gemstones
I visited with Robert Simmons author of “The Book Of Stones” in September at Denver Gem Show. He was there with his company Heaven & Earth signing copies of his newest book, “Stones of the New Consciousness: Healing, Awakening & Co-creating with Crystals, Minerals & Gems”
Its always an enlightening experience talking with Robert as we share a passion for the Stone Beings. This year he introduced me to several new stones including Rosophia a stone he discovered just last year in New Mexico. The name comes from the phrase “Rose of Sophia” meaning the “Heart of Wisdom”. Robert tells the story of how he came to find this stone and the significance it has for him in his new book.
I had a very special visit with Robert several years ago. I owned a metaphysical gift store, “The Crystal Loft” in the Florida Keys. Robert was on tour with his novel “Earthfire”. He came down to the Keys to give a talk on his book and set up a “Trunk Sale” at our store, selling the high vibrational gemstones and jewelry Heaven & Earth carries. Many synchronistic events occurred over the course of a few days and I will always remember that weekend as a very magical experience as we connected to the energies of gemstones, people and snakes!

Crystal Readings at Key West Island Alchemy
On Saturday April 18th I will be in Key West Florida at Island Alchemy offering crystal readings from 2-6pm.
Crystal readings are similar to other forms of readings, like Tarot. A person chooses 3 gemstones from my bag of stones by feeling for an energy connection with the stone. I begin to focus on the crystal’s energy and it’s specific meaning. I will share information on how that energy can help in your everyday life. The stones offer messages and are tools to assist us in bringing balance to our lives.
During a reading, crystals provide information and insight that may help answer questions about love, career, happiness or any other area of daily life.

Celebrate Hope, Love, Unity
Its a day to celebrate! The energies are light and happy. Do you feel the shift? Starting last Thursday with the “Miracle on the Hudson”. We saw first hand that miracles can and do happen. Life was spared, heroes were born and we are reminded to believe in miracles.
Yesterday, Martin Luther King’s birthday, we hear King’s message of dreams, and hopes. Today, we know dreams can and do come true. Watching along with millions, the inauguration of President Obama I feel hope. All things are possible. It is now up to each and everyone of us to take this hope back into our own lives. Continue to feel hopeful and miracles will happen.
